Terms & Privacy
The essentials about using Stepresso and how we handle information.
Updated 2026-10-28 · Operated by Earnest Works Limited
Using Stepresso
Stepresso answers business calls, takes messages and appointment requests, and sends them to your team. It does not confirm bookings, prices, or availability. AI can make mistakes: review requests before acting on them. This is not an emergency service.
Use it only for a business you are authorized to represent. Keep its information accurate and your sign-in links private. You are responsible for required notices and permissions for your callers, including AI processing and transcription. Do not use Stepresso for unlawful activity or submit payment-card details or sensitive medical information.
You control call forwarding through your phone provider. Stepresso cannot turn it on or off for you. Availability depends on your provider and ours; uninterrupted service is not guaranteed.
30 days free
Your free trial starts when we activate your AI number, not when you submit the signup form. No card is required and there are no automatic charges. When the trial ends, we show a notice and review any extension with you. Signup alone does not issue a number.
You can stop forwarding calls at any time. Contact us for account help. We may restrict misuse or suspend service when needed to protect the service or comply with law.
Information we use
We use your email for sign-in, customer requests, and service notices. We store the business details and AI instructions you provide. For handled calls, we process audio and store the caller’s number, conversation text, request summary, and follow-up status so your team can respond. Audio recording storage is disabled in our receptionist configuration.
We use essential sign-in cookies, browser storage for setup, and limited request and security logs to operate and protect the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Service providers
We use Vercel for hosting, Google Firebase for accounts and storage, Telnyx and its AI providers for calls, OpenAI for requested settings changes, and SendGrid for email. They process relevant information to provide these functions, which may take place outside your country. Settings-chat messages are sent to OpenAI to make your requested changes; Stepresso does not store that chat as a separate history.
Business search and maps use Google Maps. These features are also subject to Google’s Maps terms and Privacy Policy. Your search phone number goes to Google; your sign-in email does not.
Keeping and correcting information
Business details and call records remain in your workspace for service operation and follow-up. We do not currently remove them automatically when a trial ends. You can edit business details in your workspace. For access, correction, or removal requests, contact us; we may need to verify that you are authorized.
